Most of you are probably aware that this year marked the 100th anniversary of the Boy Scouting program in America. Along with this year's anniversary is a re-introduction of some “classic” merit badges that were discontinued many years ago. Those badges have been made available for THIS YEAR ONLY. If any of our Scouts earn them, they can be placed on the merit badge sash and counted towards rank advancement.
I have just received word that I am now officially registered with the Gulf Ridge Council as
a “classic” merit badge counselor (no jokes, Mr. Dinsmore) for the Pathfinding merit badge. If there is an interest in earning this rare gem, I'm your man.
