Thanks to all the Scouts and adults who helped us with our first ever food and beverage sales yesterday. We put on a good effort and netted more than $1,000 for our work. Special thanks to Larry Peel, Jay Gadsby and his father, Jack, for all their efforts in putting together the food purchases and delivery of supplies to both locations. Thanks, also, to all those Scouts who showed up early this morning to help clean up the church property, especially the parking lots. Both Jim Harnish, senior pastor, and Bernie Lieving, congregational care pastor, stopped in the parking lot this morning to express their gratitude for our efforts. Additionally, many members of the congregation asked me to share their thanks with the troop for removing all the remnants of Gasparilla before worship services started this morning. Plus, those participating earned an our of community service! Plus, Mr. Fatica’s video work appears on Bay News 9 shortly after 9 this evening.
