Scouting for food – 2011

Every year, instead of eating hotdogs at the Bayshore Little league opener, we set out on an early Saturday morning to hang plastic bags on front doors of every house on Davis Islands and select streets of Hyde Park.  Residents are requested to place non-perishables foods in the bags and leave them outside a week later for pick-up by the Cub Scouts from Pack 22.  This year, over 1,200 lbs of food were collected by Troop 22 and Pack 2

2 and subsequently distributed to the needy in our local community!  Congrats and great job to all those scouts who participated!
