Winter Hike 2013

The winter hike was from 1/12 – 1/14 at the Withalacochee state park. All scouts are invited to attend this camp out. We hiked 10 miles the first day in about 80*F to get to our campsite. apart in the river we were going to cross. We had Mr. Friedlander walk across the river with a rope to mark the path. Then some of the older scouts spread out at intervals in the river to help keep the others on the path. Once the newer scouts had made it across safely the older scouts and adults hauled backpacks across the river to redistribute to their owners. We then hiked about another mile to get to the cars. It was a very fun and successful trip.
