Wards ranch was from 2/10/13 to 2/11/13 at the Ward family’s private ranch. All scouts are invited to attend this camp out. Also weblos and another troop were invited to attend as well. This camp out is popular among the scouts because it is our shooting camp out At Wards Ranch scouts could shoot .12 gauge shotguns at clay pigeons and .22 rifles at targets. This camp out also offers a lot of free time to do things like football, manhunt, tag, and other games. Some of the older scouts were in the pavilion playing a card game called Capitalism why other scouts were playing football or shooting. This camp out is especially fun for scouts who have never shot a shotgun or rifle before. During the shotgun shooting we had a 10 minute break to clean up clay pigeons and shotgun shells. At this part of the day we almost had an incident were we had almost started to shoot while there was a scout still out in the 4-5 foot high weeds. Luckily no one was hurt and it was a successful camp out. Mr. Bejos then cooked dinner before most of the scouts enjoyed a good game of Manhunt. The next morning Mr. Bejos cooked breakfast and everyone started to pack up and police the area. It was a very successful camp out and I would recommend that all scouts attend.
