Sat. Feb.5- Sun. Feb. 6, 2011
Meet Sat. at 7am, United Methodist Church Parking Lot
Leaving promptly at 7:30am
We will be back Sunday at approx. 1-2pm.
A past Troop 22 Scoutmaster, Mr. Ward has for nearly 30 years allowed Troop 22 special access to his property. Ward’s Ranch is an “Old Florida” tract of land beautifully situated under a canopy of live oak trees. Highlights include clay pigeon shotgun shooting, a large BBQ dinner Saturday night (hopefully with wild game) and Sunday breakfast. Troop 22 is picking up the cost for Webelo scouts and their parents.

Take the crosstown to I-75 and go south to Bradenton. Exit at S.R. 64 (exit 220) and then go east (Turn left) until reaching C.R. 665 – Approximately 28.6 miles
Turn right of CR 665 and travel south approximately 10 miles until the road turns east. This will be at the town of Lily. (This town is just a few buildings and The Union Baptist Church) At the curve, there is a junction of two other roads- Roberts and Pine Level Road. Take ROBERTS road west approximately 2-3 miles until you come to a closed red pipe gate across the road.
Note: If you miss Roberts Road and cross a concrete bridge over Horse Creek, you have gone too far on C.R 665
Go through and travel approximately 1 mile until reaching a closed yellow pipe gate. Go through this gate and continue west along the pasture road. Part of the road is a dike with a marsh on each side. You will come to an oak hammock on the west side of the marsh where you will turn right (north) and will see the campsite within a few hundred yards. The distance from the yellow gate and the campsite is approximately 1 mile.
Great job, Mr. Dinsmore!!!
Congratulations Jim!
Well deserved!
