Troop 22 uses a software program called TroopMaster to maintain advancement records as well as scout/parent contact and medical information. On June 24 eight scouts, four adults, and one three-pound brass goose (mascot) set out on an 80-mile high adventure, trekking through the backcountry of Philmont Scout Ranch, near Cimarron, New Mexico. On July 6, the crew successfully completed its goal of having all 12 members finish together. Congratulations are in order to the boys who were solely responsible for the hard work that went into the daily campsite set-up and take-down, cooking, bear bags, and navigation. We look forward to sharing our experiences and skills learned with the other members of Troop 22. Pictured here is the crew immediately before they set out from base camp.
